Delicious homemade meatballs (Albondigas) seasoned with paprika and garlic powder, seared and then baked or finished on the stovetop. Perfect for pita sandwiches or other preparations.
1. Mix by hand: 1 lb of ground beef, 1/4 white onion (finely chopped), paprika, garlic powder, 2 tablespoons of panko (or breadcrumbs/flour), and 1 egg.
2. Form the meatballs and place them in a hot skillet with a little oil over high heat to sear them on both sides.
3. Once they have color, transfer them to a baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes at 180°C (you could also finish them in the skillet over low heat with a lid, but be careful not to burn them).
4. Enjoy in thousands of preparations, including a pita sandwich!
